Mindy K. (Network Engineer)My husband began seeing Dr. Weinstein for serious headaches that he was experiencing and so recommended Dr. Weinstein for me. I simply wanted a "checkup". I had never been to a chiropractor and although I had some minor back pain from time to time, I just wanted to make sure that everything checked out okay. Dr. Weinstein was very thorough in my initial evaluation. He asked me things that most doctors never had, making me feel as though he had a more accurate picture of my overall health than did many of the doctors that I had been to in the past. One of the conditions that I made him aware of was a diagnosis of thyroid disease some years before. I also made him aware that I had gained a significant amount of weight but I had pretty much relegated myself to the fact that no one could help me with this issue. I was exercising and eating the typical "low fat" diet, but it wasn’t coming off. After the initial evaluation, Dr. Weinstein made some simple recommendations. He asked me to eat differently than I had been before, but it wasn’t a deprivation diet at all. It was simple and easy. He also made some recommendations surrounding exercise. He actually made my workouts much easier. After following his advice for only a few short weeks, I started to lose weight! After such success, I went through Dr. Weinstein’s Nutritional Analysis. He recommended some nutritional supplements to me and I began to take them. To my surprise, after taking the nutritional supplements he recommended, my next visit to the Endocrinologist revealed that my thyroid disease seemed to be requiring less medication. My next 2 nutritional analysis revealed different nutritional deficiencies as my body got rid of the deficiencies one by one. Once again, I followed his advice, all the while feeling better and better. At my last visit to the Endocrinologist, I was able to stop taking the thyroid medication altogether and am considered to be in "spontaneous remission." It is important to understand that remission is rarely achieved in thyroid disease. The percentage of people that are able to achieve it is very low. I believe that my remission is directly related to the changes in my lifestyle, changes in eating habits, and reversal of nutritional deficiencies. Thank goodness I went in for that "checkup"! I have lost 35 pounds so far and continue to lose. The amazing part of this is that most people with thyroid disease have difficulty losing weight and I have been able to achieve this feat by simply following Dr. Weinstein’s careful instruction. I feel better than I have in years and I simply cannot thank him enough. I feel that he has given me my "old-self" back and I am happier and feeling better than I have been in years. My husband is rid of those awful headaches and we are both incredibly happy that we found Dr. Weinstein. I feel like I’m in my teens again, THANK YOU, Dr. Weinstein! Dr. Weinstein is unbelievably amazing to work with. After visiting many doctors for my condition, I can thoroughly appreciate his dedication to his patients and his work. He is a motivator and I always leave his office feeling invincible. He is constantly researching the latest and greatest in his field and he is able to concisely provide information that would take years to research. I believe this is a true testament to his dedication. I would recommend him over and over and have and will continue to do so. |
