Veterans Administration to Develop Policy on Chiropractic

Under the category of, a step in the right direction, comes a story from the Washington PRNewswire that reports on President Clinton signing a bill into US law that mandates the Veterans Administration to develop a policy regarding utilization of chiropractic care.  One of the bills supporters, Rep. Bob Filner, was quoted during the debate as saying, “I am especially pleased that this legislation ensures that the Veterans Administration will work with licensed doctors of chiropractic to develop policy to provide veterans with access to chiropractic services.”  Also supporting the bill was Rep. Lane Evans who said, “The Millennium Bill will require that the VA work with chiropractors on a policy that will allow veterans access to their services within the VA.”
